Mental Health First Aid for Adults: A Virtual Class

As the world practices physical distancing, Mental Health First Aid offers a new way to connect. Learn to assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. In this updated curriculum, community members will learn to identify, understand and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses. Complete a self-paced online course before participating in an instructor-led class using Zoom. Half an hour is allowed for a lunch break. This course is recommended for residents of Maryland. For information please email or call 410-740-7601.

Coursework information will be sent two weeks prior to class and MUST be completed 48 hours before class in order to attend class.

IT requirements: For the best experience, join course from a tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. If computer does not have a microphone you can use the dial-in option. This is a participatory course so you will also need a webcam, either built-in or external.

Includes a digital manual.

Anyone who cancels less than 72 hours before a class cannot be rescheduled to a future class but will be added a waiting list.
