Mental Health First Aid for Adults: A Virtual Class
As the world practices physical distancing, Mental Health First Aid offers a new way to connect. Learn to assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis virtually. In this new, updated format, community members will complete a a 2-hour, self-paced online course before participating in an instructor-led class using Zoom. Half an hour is allowed for a lunch break. This course is recommended for residents of Maryland. For information please email jstanto6@jhmi.edu or call 410-740-7601.
Coursework MUST be completed 48 hours before class in order to attend otherwise you may not receive the link to class in time.
IT requirements: For the best experience, join course from a tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. If computer does not have a microphone you can use the dial-in option. This is a participatory course so you will also need a webcam, either built-in or external.
Includes a digital manual.
Anyone who cancels less than 72 hours before a class cannot be rescheduled to a future class but will be added a waiting list.
